Organised by SCS, RAC 2024 aims to raise funds for Singapore Cancer Society programmes and services including cancer treatment subsidies, welfare assistance, cancer rehabilitation, hospice care, cancer screenings, research, public education, and cancer support group initiatives.
All funds raised will help to drive SCS's programmes and services such as the SCS Cancer Care Fund, SCS Cancer Rehabilitation Centre, SCS Cancer Treatment Fund, SCS Help the Children and Youth Programme and the SCS Welfare Aid.
RAC exists to make our statement against cancer, to Minimise Cancer and Maximise Lives.
No one should fight cancer alone - this event invites people of all walks of life to join in the fight and run alongside those who are impacted by cancer.

Physical Race
For the 2km Parent-Child fun run category, child participants must be between 3 years old to 12 years old as of 29 September 2024.
For the 5km fun run category, participants must be minimum 6 years old and older as of 29 September 2024. All participants aged 12 and below must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in the same category.
For the 10km and 15km categories, participants must be minimum 13 years old and older, as of 29 September 2024. All participants aged 18 years old and below should be accompanied by parents or guardians and parental/guardian consent should be obtained.
Virtual RunYou can register for the race by clicking on the 'Register' button and select to join as 'An Individual'. There is no registration fee. You will be asked to fundraise/donate a minimum amount to qualify for the run, depending on the distance category that you wish to register, to help us to fundraise.
Upon successful registration, you will receive a confirmation email to your registered email. If it does not appear in your Inbox, do check your Junk/Spam folder.You can only participate in the 21km or 42km Cumulative Challenge (Virtual Run). However, your event entitlements can only be delivered to a Singapore-based address.
As the physical event will only be held in Singapore, all participants taking part in the physical RAC 2024 will need to be present in Singapore during the event period (29 September).To join an Existing Team, please click on the 'Register' button and select 'New Member of Existing Team' option. Remember to use the team code provided by your Team Leader.
There is no maximum number of members for team registration.
Please note that one email address can only be used to register for one account (participant). i.e., each participant will need to have their own account to participate in the event.Each team's minimum fundraising target is totalled up by the number of team members registered. Depending on the distance category selected per team member, the minimum fundraising target will be multiplied.

Virtual RunThere will be volunteers placed along the route to provide support in high congestion areas. The first aid team will be on stand-by on site. If any runners require any assistance during the race, you may approach any of the organiser staff or volunteers for support. Ambulance services are available if necessary.
Do note that participants who are unable to complete the race will not be eligible to receive the finisher's medal (applicable for 10km and 15km categories) and prizes (if any).The Virtual Run category allows you to participate at any time and place.
You will need to clock your distance and duration during the virtual race period (29 September to 15 October). We recommend that you can take the park connectors (PCNs) or parks near your home. You will need to track your date and time, distance, duration, and route map using Strava (GPS-enabled app).Do ensure that the current account logged in is the correct account as the one linked to your device.
Should your Strava be different accounts (e.g., Website linked to Strava - Facebook Account, but your phone is linked to Strava - Google Account), you will not be able to upload your activities onto your RAC profile correctly. If this occurs, please proceed to unlink the current account, and relink the correct account.You will be able to view the distance you have completed from your profile page after logging in. You may also view the distance that you have completed by searching for your name or team name in the Leaderboard.
Please ensure your activities are recorded on the Strava app to the race website for the data to be captured and uploaded. If any submissions are not reflected by the 3rd working day, you may email us at rac@singaporecancersociety.org.sg or support@wobs.sg.No. You can't use a treadmill, steps tracker and pedometer submission for the virtual race as most treadmills, steps tracker and pedometer do not provide a date/time and route map, and it can't be tracked using the Strava app.
You will have to download, register for a Strava account, and sync it to the race website.No. All participants should record their own activities using their own Strava app. If you experience any difficulties syncing your activities, please delink and relink to your active Strava account.
For further assistance, you may email us at rac@singaporecancersociety.org.sg with your full name, email address, and DOB so that we can look into the issue.Qualified physical category participants can collect their Race Packs and Race Bibs at Singapore Cancer Society HQ (30 Hospital Boulevard #16-02, 10am - 5pm). Without your Race Bibs, participants will not be able to participate in the run.
Collection Dates:The Race Entitlement Pack Collection for qualified Physical Race participants (2km, 5km, 10km, 15km) will be happening on 14th and 15th September 2024 from 11.00am – 7.00pm.
Qualified* participants in the Physical Race category (2km, 5km, 10km and 15km) will need to pick up their run bibs for Race Day. If you opted to receive the ‘Event T-shirt and Goodie Bag’ during registration, the race entitlement pack (goodie bag) will contain the t-shirt, run bag, and other sponsored items.
Qualified* participants in the Virtual Run category (21km and 42km) will be notified about the collection of the race entitlement pack after 15th October.
*To qualify for the Physical Race, do meet the minimum fundraising amount corresponding to your selected race category.If you are unable to make it, kindly authorise someone to pick it up for you. Do note that the authorised person must submit the hardcopy form to us on the race pack collection day.
The organising team will not release race packs to unauthorised person without the supporting documents (authorisation form).No. Changing of T-shirt size is strictly not allowed during the collection period. Please select your T-shirt size correctly during the registration process or update in your profile page by 31 August 2024.
You can share your public profile page (by clicking the social media icons) with your family and friends and ask them to support you. All donations will go to support the Singapore Cancer Society.
When you donate to a team on their team profile page, your donation will be shared evenly amongst all members of the team. For example, if you give $500 to a team with five members, each member will "receive" $100 from your donation.
When you donate to a team member's profile page, your donation will only go to that member.
Donations made to a team member's profile page will not be distributed amongst other team members.
Whether you choose to donate to a team or team member, your total donation will be reflected in the overall amount raised by the team.Yes. As Singapore Cancer Society (SCS) is an approved Institution of a Public Character, donations are eligible for tax deduction 2.5 times, or 250 percent, of the donation amount.
A valid FULL NRIC No./FIN/UEN is required for auto-inclusion for tax deduction purposes. Your donation details will be provided directly to Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) and the donation deductions will be included automatically in your individual tax assessment.
